23 NOV 22 At Sea

This post is based primarily on Don's notes, occasionally supplemented with MT's notes from our cruise in November 2022. When information from other sources is added—for further explanation to readers or to satisfy our own curiosity—that is set off in a text box (as this one).
Most of the photos that accompany this post are from Don’s camera (with a caption indicating the time it was taken); those from MT’s iPhone are indicated by “MT” placed at the beginning of the photo caption. Photos from any other source (such as the public domain Wikimedia Commons), occasionally used for clarification, indicate that source in the caption.

The Viking Daily newsletter showed today's weather forecast as "Cloudy, Sunny Chances of Rain Showers 79° F" and "Sunrise: 5:38 AM."

We woke at 6 am. We ate bananas in our stateroom.

At 7:30, Don went to jogging track (Deck 2) and ran 3 miles, then walked 1 mile.

At 8:50, we went to breakfast at The Restaurant (Deck 2). This was the first time we had tried breakfast there, since it did not open until 8 am.

At 10:30, Don went to the Atrium (Deck 1) for the "Baggo Challenge." He joined members of the entertainment team and fellow passengers for a game of Baggo (known in the US as Corn Hole).

At noon, MT went to the Spa (Deck 1) for the "Deep Tissue Massage" she had reserved with some of our onboard credit.

At 1:30 pm, we went to the World Café (Deck 7) for the "Taste of the Caribbean" lunch.

At 4:30, we went to the Theater  (Deck 2) for the Port Talk for Puerto Limón, Costa Rica. This was another first for us, since we were usually on a shore excursion or doing something else at this time of day, and we just watched the recorded Port Talks on the TV in our room.

At 6:30, we started for The Resaurant (Deck 2) for dinner. However, we stopped at The Shop (Deck 2) and bought a nice wool sweater from Dale of Norway for Don ($227) with most of our remaining balance of our $900 onboard credit. MT could not find one she liked in her size.

At 7:00, we went to The Restaurant (Deck 2) for our pre-ordered dinner.
